It appears that the childish obstinacy of Turkish prime minister, Mr. Erdogan has backfired big time. After he publicly announced he will “Eradicate Twitter”, the turkish ISPs has blocked twitter by a simple DNS blocking. Very quickly, people found simply by replacing a neutral DNS server like google servers, they can access twitter. Tweets originating from Turkey went up 138%, and hashtag #twitterblockedinturkey  became a trend. A big lesson to the Mr. PM, that fighting with freedom of speech and new technologies are much harder than he thinks.
